Description

Black and white photograph of a Vietnam anti-war demonstration in Bryant Park, located in the New York City borough of Manhattan. On this day in April of 1969, the Fifth Avenue Peace Parade committee organized the demonstration that assembled near Bryant Park with a rally that took place near the Central Park Bandshell and 5th Avenue. In the photograph, a crowd of young people are gathered on top of the Bryant Park entrance building, and holding signs that read, "Thou Shalt Not Kill" and "The War is Not Over, Our Boys Die! Vietnamese Die!" in protest against the Vietnam War. Scanned from the negative.
