Robert Delaney, a former Michigan Department of Environmental Quality project manager, became one of the first in the state to identify and investigate widespread PFAS contamination. His work at Wurtsmith Air Force Base in Oscoda and later statewide helped bring public, governmental, and national attention to PFAS risks, despite facing political pushback.
