In the photograph, a crowd of Puerto Rican Americans are seen gathered and marching while holding various signs in the foreground including ones that read, "No Plebiscite, No Puerto Ricans to Vietnam!" in addition to the flag of Puerto Rico. The peace rally took place as a part of the "Spring Mobilization to End the War in Vietnam" and assembled in Central Park before marching to the United Nations Headquarters building in Manhattan.
