During this time, Bennitt describes the battles in Atlanta from the vantage point of the hospitals. The 20th Army Corps leaves Atlanta for Savannah. Bennitt_s request to the Cincinnati Army Medical Board to be examined for a surgical position in the Volunteer Staff Corps is approved.
