Black and white photograph of a group of Native Americans gathered on top of a hill at the abandoned Belmont Harbor Nike missile site in Chicago, Illinois. In June of 1971, this group of Native Americans and their supporters occupied the abandoned area of Chicago’s Belmont Harbor in the hopes that the site be set aside for housing units for Native Americans as well as a school for Native American children.
