Three women, each cradling a small, flickering candle, sit behind him and lean towards him with looks of concern. In the background kneel five ominous female figures in expressionless clay masks. All the performers wear midcentury clothing layered with sweaters, coats, and scarves. The set is designed to look like sandy hills, and a low red glow suggests that the sun is just about to rise.
